About Emilia

I’m Emilia, artist from Turku, Finland with a passion for creating harmony through art. I dream big, curate beauty in my surroundings, and bring a sense of calm into spaces through my work.

Inspired by the muted elegance of Scandinavian design, my art embraces a neutral color palette, organic textures, and bold yet minimal compositions. While I admire vibrant colors, my creative vision is rooted in balance—transforming interiors into serene, visually soothing environments through earthy tones and pure, flowing lines.

Each piece I create is an invitation to slow down, breathe, and experience the beauty of simplicity.

I started painting as a young girl, but over the years, my creativity felt stifled by the pressures of school and life. After finishing my master’s thesis and graduating from university, I longed for a new creative outlet and, almost by chance, found my way back to painting after my father asked me to create an artwork for his home. I soon realized I could once again enter that unique state of flow—one that I experience only when painting. That’s when I decided to start creating regularly again.

I have always been a visual person, drawn to all things beautiful. Beyond the joy of creating with my hands, what fascinates me about painting, is the ability to shape different atmospheres in spaces and bring beauty into people’s homes. Knowing that my artwork finds its place on someone’s wall, bringing them joy every day, gives me as much happiness as the painting brings to its new owner.

Interior design, especially Scandinavian aesthetics and design, is also close to my heart. I believe that the surrounding space plays a significant role in influencing one’s emotions. That’s why I primarily use earthy and neutral tones in my paintings—I want my art to bring a sense of calm and serenity into the spaces they inhabit.
